Pre-Listing Home Inspection

Home inspections are not just for buyers. As a homeowner you can benefit from finding any issues before the buyer finds them. This can help you confidently list your home on the market. Avoid re-negotiating the price of your home. Last minute problems and repairs can cost you time and money.

Pre-Purchase Home Inspection

Buying a home can be a time consuming and stressful process. Having a home inspection done can help alleviate some of the stress. A visual inspection of the property you intend to purchase is crucial. Nobody wants to buy a home that ends up being a money pit. There are a lot of potential safety hazards and other problems that a seller may not disclose. Issues like these can help you make a confident decision and help you negotiate.

Radon Testing

Keeping you and your family safe.

I get a lot of people asking me about radon and where it comes from. If you are not familiar with radon, I encourage you to take a little time and do some research. The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) and the WHO (World Health Organization) are a great place to start. For now, I will provide a general overview to help understand.

Radon is an inert gas that you can’t see, smell, or taste. It is estimated to cause thousands of deaths each year. That is because when you breathe air containing radon, it can cause lung cancer. Radon is the number one cause of lung cancer in non smokers and the number two leading cause of lung cancer behind smoking.

Radon comes from the natural (radioactive) breakdown of uranium in soil, rock and water and gets into the air you breathe. Radon can be found all over the U.S. It can get into any type of building—homes, offices, and schools—and result in a high indoor radon level. But you and your family are most likely to get your greatest exposure at home, where you spend most of your time.

You and your family can protect yourselves by testing for radon. Yes, radon can be reduced to safe levels through radon mitigation systems.
